We have pleasure in putting the latest edition of BST Journal on-line. The Journal has an international readership and contributions from artists and academics from all over the world. It is worth re-emphasising that we are committed to being an open access publication whose main purpose is to support both emerging and established innovators in and across art forms. Reflection, practice and analysis are all vital to the pursuit of artistic exploration and the Journal encourages a rich diversity of approaches as to how they play out in practice. We hope readers find this diversity reflected in the papers and other materials selected for the current issue and find it both illuminating and a stimulus for courageous and out of the box thinking.

As always we look forward to receiving exciting, innovative and stimulating new material from regular and new contributors in our forthcoming issues
