This issue makes a unique departure from our usual BST format in as much as the papers and some performances are drawn exclusively from the Digital Resources in the Humanities and Arts conference, titled: Doing Digital, Using Digital Resources in the Arts and Humanities, which was held at Dartington College of Arts in September 2007. Over the last decade, the annual DRHA conferences have constructed an unusual kind of meeting place: a space in which researchers, curators, and distributors of digital resources could meet and share perspectives on their complementary agendas. DRHA07 aimed to explore further major issues at the interface between traditional humanities scholarship and the creative arts, by focussing on their differing or complementary approaches to the deployment of digital technologies. We hope our readers will enjoy this issue and we will resume our normal format for future issues.
